See below a link to a Beezone post entitled “Guru’s Seclusion, Tapas, and Imprisonment”

This post addresses instances, within the Guru-devotee tradition, wherein the Master withdraws into silence, seclusion, or even a form of self-imposed imprisonment.

The post includes a reference to 1990 and 1991, when Adi Da (at that time Named, Sri Da Kalki) entered into a period of Penance and Seclusion.

During this time of Penance and Seclusion, He many times, referred to the lack of response from His devotees and the world. He Said (paraphrased) that His devotees have thrown away His Wisdom Teaching, are destroying Him and His Work and are suppressing any response to It.

He remained inside His small, three room, residence (named Indefinable) for a  period of 65 days, progressively assuming one form of Penance after another.

This time of Penance also included his unwavering attention to the war between Iraq and a coalition of countries; spearheaded by the US.

During this time (35 years ago), Kanya Remembrance (Julie), gave a presentation to devotees in which she spoke to the process of Listening.

I (Nick) note, that, in all of the now 33+ years I have known Julie intimately, she has never ceased in speaking passionately about essentially the same content as to what she spoke about in this presentation. The fact that she is no longer wearing white clothes makes no difference to her response to and embrace of Adi Da and His Radical Teaching and Criticism.

In her presentation, she referred to Adi Da Saying (paraphrased) “the reason why things are continuing as they are is because people don’t want to talk about the things that need to be talked about.”

Its worthwhile (and essential) to consider, what is different now in Adidam and in the culture of devotees vs what Adi Da Addressed and Criticized, throughout His Teaching and Revelation years, from 1972 to the time of His Mahasamadhi.

Within the Beezone post (link below) there is a link to an edited audio version and the entire video version of the Kanya Remembrance presentation.
