Swami Prakashananda Saraswati of Nashik rarely gave lectures and didn’t write books. Because of his spiritual attainment, his words were imbued with the power and grace of the indwelling Guru Principle that guides a human being back to their own self. This documentary, The Light of Love, explores Prakashananda’s wisdom stories and parables. His message is one of love. Indeed, he was the embodiment of what he taught. Prakashananda described himself as "an agaram bagaram baba" meaning hotchpotch baba. Through his humble and self-depreciative way, he encouraged seekers to recognise the Guru within, rather than follow a structured organization or even one particular teacher/guru. This documentary will introduce you to Baba Prakashananda, his teachings and the India he knew, from the perspective of his simple ashram, perched 4000 ft high, on India’s Western Ghats.
